Tour Accra
Cape Coast Day Trip
The former slave castle at Cape Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage site commemorating a sad history inflicted on Africa, and Ghana in particular. This is about a 3 hour drive from Accra, and includes a visit to a Posuban shrine and either a pineapple farm or Ghana’s first cathedral.
A before-sunrise departure from Accra will also permit a visit to Kakum National Park to enjoy West Africa's longest rain forest canopy walkway as well as the crocodile ponds at Hans Botel can be visited before returning to Accra. But we recommend a less-hurried 2-day excursion to include these additional sites.
A Door of Return ceremony can be arranged for those of the Diaspora at the castle.
