Beach at Elmina in Ghana

BRENU BEACH to AMPENI POINT
With the exception of some resorts, most beaches from Cape Coast to Elmina have succumbed to erosion and have been lined by a large seawall of boulders. Most of the remaining beaches in the Cape-Coast-Elmina area tend to be quite rocky. Thus, the best beach experience is further west of Elmina between Brenu Beach and Ampeni Point. These places are further from the main road and the access roads are generally in poor condition. But you will be rewarded with beautiful, clean, sandy beaches at scenic remote locations. The beach stretches for miles and isn't littered with trash or excess people. You are mostly alone enjoying the tranquility. If you want beach relaxation at a moderate price, this area will soothe your spirit.
