The Ghana Triangle
This is a great tour of Ghana, traveling inland to Kumasi, and then to Cape Coast before returning along the coast to Accra. This tour can easily contain any parts of the Western Coast tours, the Ashanti Kingdom tours and a few days in Greater Accra. We have made this trip happen in as few as 5 days, but we recommend at least 9 days, as illustrated below. From this basic triangle, you can add any number of days to explore further into the area, or add a trip into the Volta Region or the Northern Regions.

2 nights Accra

Arrive in Accra. City orientation. Visit museums, Makola market and Independence Square.

1 night Kente village

Stay in a traditional Kente weaving village. Try some palm wine while visiting the local chief.

2 nights Kumasi

Travel to waterfalls and a monkey sanctuary before visiting Kumasi. Tour of city center and Kejetia Market, the largest outdoor market in Ghana.

2 nights Cape Coast

Stop at slave cemetery en-route to Cape Coast. Tour Cape Coast castle and enjoy the beach. Morning visit to the rain forest canopy walkway at Kakum National Park.

1 night Accra

Return to Accra to finish your last minute shopping and enjoy a night on the town.
