Beach chalet at Oasis Beach Resort in Cape Coast

OASIS BEACH RESORT, Cape Coast

There is a live entertainment performance early in the evening, followed by recorded popular music and dancing on the open air dance floor later into the night. As a budget accommodation, the individual chalets may not be as clean as you prefer, but this is another location where a forgiving traveler is rewarded with a great location on the beach where you can watch the fishing nets being pulled in and enjoy a near private slice of Ghana.

FOUR VILLAGES, Kumasi
This is a well managed upscale bed-and-breakfast that achieves the highest standards in guest satisfaction. Owned and operated by Chris from Canada, and his Ghanaian wife Charity, the Four Villages is like having your own home in Ghana. Sunyani is a pleasant town that boasts having the longest straight stretch of road in any city in Ghana. Better still, this is a good place to make an excursion to Bui National Park to visit the hippos, or to Boabeng-Fiema to visit the monkeys. The Eusbett Hotel is definitely where you want to stay in this area when you wish accommodations a bit nicer than available in Techiman.

Elephant behind Mole Park Lodge

MOLE PARK LODGE, Mole National Park
There are few lodgings around Mole National Park, most being various home stays or village guesthouses. However the location of the Mole Lodge on a cliff overlooking the water hole, as well as the oasis of the wonderful swimming pool, make you forgive the condition of the rooms themselves. It is a long and bumpy ride to get there, but you are rewarded by being able to stay in Ghana's largest national park and fully experience the wildlife. Walk with elephants, enjoy Ghana's largest birding checklist, and keep your belongings hidden from those master thieves the baboons! This location is best visited during the dry season of December - February when wildlife is most concentrated at the water hole.

Upland Hotel in Wa, Ghana

UPLAND HOTEL, Wa
This 2-star hotel is the best available accommodations in the capital of the Upper West region of Ghana. About an 11 hour drive from Accra, it will take a couple days to reach Wa unless we are meeting you at the border with Burkina Faso. If staying in Wa, you are well advised to spend a little extra to enjoy some air conditioning.

Home stay in Ghana

GUEST HOUSES and HOME STAYS
We have identified a number of locations in Ghana that have fun and sanitary home stay and guest house facilities. There would be no air conditioning and generally no running water and some places do not even electricity. But in any of these places you would be well cared for and be able to enjoy an adventurous stay that would allow you to see the life in Ghana on a very personal level. You have not experienced Ghana until you have been the guest of a native family.

These locations include, but are not limited to:
  - Liate Wote, Adaklu & other Volta Region areas
  - Kente village of Adanwomase near Kumasi
  - Boabeng-Fiema monkey sanctuary
  - Larabanga village near Mole
  - Culture village of Sognaayilli near Tamale
  - Rooftop homes in the Upper West or Upper East

(Note: These are not paid recommendations. We recommend businesses on our site because of their unique offerings or location - not because they provide any incentives to Easy Track Ghana or our staff.)
