Charitable Contributions to Africa

We take our commitment to assisting African families very seriously. If you are visiting sub-Saharan Africa, we know you are probably packing light, so participate in our "One Extra Bag" program.

Bring an extra bag of goods to donate.

Contact any organization of your choice, or if you need recommendations, our extensive network of contacts in Africa will be able arrange for an appropriate organization to accept your gift. Visiting the organization to present your gift and for a tour of their work is encouraged. For many people, this is the highlight of their trip.

We are proud to have provided support to these groups via the Easy Track Ghana One Extra Bag program:

  • Schools
    • Schools….there really are so many that we have visited that we cannot possibly remember them all. We include school visits in many tours we give, and we try to make these happen outside of Accra. In addition to a half-dozen schools in Kisseman, we have visited rural schools in every region of Ghana except the Upper West, including schools for deaf and handicapped children.
  • HIV Prevention & Treatment
    • West Africa AIDS Foundation, Accra
We have taken many guests to this combination prevention organization, support group and clinic. Thousands of condoms, as well as medicine, cash and a laptop computer have been given here.
    • Centre for Popular Education and Human Rights Ghana, Accra
    • Love Wise, Ghana’s Anti-HIV/AIDS Newspaper, Accra
    • Brothers Keepers, Ghana's only HIV+ MSM Support Group
  • Clinics
    • Pro-Link Organization, Accra
Helped establish a women's clinic with contributions of cash, supplies, medicine and a laptop computer.
  • Hospitals
    • Korle-Bu Hospital, Accra
Korle-Bu is the main teaching hospital in Ghana and has received a number of laptop computers in addition to medicines and medical supplies..
  • Culture Groups
    • Elikem Community Youth Education NGO, Kisseman
    • Maine-Ghana Youth Network NGO, Kisseman
    • Kofi Agorsor Youth Cultural Performance Group, La
    • Akatsi Youth Center, Akatsi, Volta Region
Some organizations teach children culture and tradition. Guests traveling with Easy Track are able to enjoy time with such groups and view a local cultural performance while making contributions for continued development.
  • Orphanages
    • Orphan Aid Africa, Dodowa
    • Home of Hope in Asebu, Central District
    • 5-to-15 in Kokrobite
    • Operation Hand-In-Hand in Nkoranza
  • Community development
    • Community library for Kisseman. Kisseman is a poor area of Achimota, on the outskirts of Accra.

We hope this gives you some idea of what we have been able to accomplish through the generosity of our guests. We would be more than happy to assist you in any way towards helping others while you are on tour. Every little bit helps here.

Thank you so very much.
